A package for accounts that are already going

5,000 is where the order stops being a top-up for a small page and becomes a step for an established one. The accounts it suits best already have somewhere around 3,000 to 15,000 followers, a long grid and regular posting. For them, 5,000 is a visible change that still sits inside what a good few months could plausibly look like.

BeforeAfter 5,000ChangeHow it reads
3,0008,000+167%A big jump; fine with a strong grid and recent posts
6,00011,000+83%A strong season
9,50014,500+53%Steady growth
15,00020,000+33%A modest step

Below about 3,000 followers, the jump gets steep quickly. If you’re at 1,500, 1,000 or 2,500 fits better. If you’re already well into five figures and want something people will notice, 10,000 may be the size to look at.

Why 5,000 on a 300-follower account looks wrong

Picture a hypothetical candle shop at 300 followers with 25 posts, each getting 10 to 20 likes. Add 5,000 and the profile reads 5,300, nearly 18 times its old size, overnight. Anyone who looks for more than a second sees the mismatch: a five-figure-looking audience, a short grid, and posts that a few dozen people interact with. The count no longer helps the first impression. It undermines it.

That’s the main reason we’d talk most small accounts out of this package even though it’s cheaper per follower. Climbing in stages (500, then 1,000 a few weeks later, then 2,500) costs more in total but looks like an account that’s growing. The 500 page covers how a first order on a small account tends to work.

About a day of paced delivery

Orders of 2,500 to 5,000 typically finish in around a day. The first batch usually goes out within minutes of payment, then the rest arrives in steady batches across the following hours rather than in one jump. That’s deliberate: 5,000 followers appearing in ten minutes is exactly the kind of spike that looks bought. “Around a day” is typical, not promised; a busy queue or a change on Instagram’s side can stretch it, and we’ll email you if that happens.

For a launch, that timing matters. Order two or three days before the date, so the count has finished climbing before the announcement post goes out and before people start visiting the profile.

The engagement-rate maths

A follower package raises the follower number and nothing else. That has a side effect people forget: your engagement rate falls. Engagement rate is usually worked out as interactions on a post (likes plus comments) divided by followers, times 100. Brands, collaborators and curious visitors use it as a rough sense check, and our engagement rate guide explains the variations.

Take a hypothetical fitness coach with 6,000 followers whose posts average 210 likes and 30 comments:

StageFollowersInteractions per postEngagement rate
Before6,0002404.0%
After 5,000 followers11,0002402.2%
With 250 likes on a post11,0004904.5%

Nothing about the coach’s audience changed, but on paper engagement nearly halved. On the few posts people are most likely to look at (the pinned ones and the newest), a likes package brings the visible ratio back in line. 250 likes cost $3.99 per post, so three recent posts cost $11.97 together. To get the rate back to roughly where it was rather than above it, 200 extra likes per post would do; 250 is simply the nearest package. You can work your own numbers out in the engagement rate calculator.

Be clear about what this does and doesn’t fix. Bought likes make a post look in proportion to the profile. They don’t add comments, saves or shares, and anyone who asks to see your account insights will see where your reach really comes from. If the numbers are going into a sponsorship pitch, share your organic figures. In the US, using bought numbers to misrepresent influence for commercial purposes can fall under the FTC’s 2024 rule on fake reviews and social media indicators; is it safe to buy followers explains it in plain terms (we’re not lawyers).

0.70¢ a follower, against the neighbors

PackagePricePer followerPer 1,000
2,500 followers$22.990.92¢$9.20
5,000 followers$34.990.70¢$7.00
10,000 followers$59.990.60¢$6.00
  • Going from 2,500 to 5,000 costs $12.00 more for 2,500 more followers, or 0.48¢ each for the extra half.
  • Two separate 2,500 orders cost $45.98, $10.99 more than one 5,000. Worth it only if you’d rather spread the climb over a few weeks.
  • Going on to 10,000 costs another $25.00. Per follower it’s cheaper, but on a 6,000-follower account it’s a much bigger jump.

Before and during the order

  • Post regularly for a couple of weeks beforehand. A growing count on an account that’s been quiet looks odd.
  • Pin the posts you want visitors to see first, and decide which ones get likes.
  • Keep the profile public and the username unchanged until delivery finishes. The checkout shows a profile preview so you can confirm it’s the right account.
  • If you’re adding likes, you can put the followers and up to nine likes packages in the same checkout, one post per likes package.

Drop-off and the refill

Instagram removes accounts it considers inauthentic, and its rules discourage artificial growth, so a 5,000 order can lose some followers over the following weeks. Because the order is bigger, the same percentage means more followers: a 3% drop is 150 here. Drops within 30 days of delivery finishing are refilled free. Email support@buyrealsocialfollowers.com with your ord_ reference. Drops after going private or renaming the account aren’t covered.

Questions, answered

About 5,000 followers

How much do 5,000 Instagram followers cost?
$34.99, which is 0.70¢ per follower or $7.00 per 1,000. It’s a single payment with the 30-day refill included.
How long does it take to get 5,000 followers?
Typically around a day. The first batch usually arrives within minutes, and the rest is paced in batches over the following hours, so the count climbs steadily rather than all at once.
How many followers should I have before buying 5,000?
Roughly 3,000 or more is a comfortable starting point, with a long grid and recent posts. Below that, 1,000 or 2,500 usually looks more natural.
Will 5,000 followers lower my engagement rate?
On paper, yes, because the same likes are divided by more followers. A 6,000-follower account at 4% would show about 2.2% after 5,000 more, unless key posts get extra likes.
When should I order 5,000 followers for a launch?
Two or three days before the launch date. That gives the paced delivery time to finish before your announcement goes out and visitors start arriving.
Can I split 5,000 between my Instagram and TikTok?
Not as one package, since each goes to a single profile. Add separate packages to one checkout instead, for example 2,500 Instagram followers and 2,500 TikTok followers.
